Release Notes:
Symbiosis was selling well, and with a new band, I promoted the CD with a 25 date tour in Europe and Scandinavia - a wonderful tour with a wonderful
band. I was keen to record the next record.
After my illness in '95 I had quite some time on my hands, but I had to take it easy, so writing at home was a good way to pass the time. A
good portion of the music on this CD was written during that period.
I tried to fuse some Drum N' Bass/Jungle grooves with the kind of Instrumental Jazz/Rock I was writing but in reality it only came through
on one song - Jungleyes. This CD was also recorded with my new band augmented with Anthony Jackson and Ray Russell. In fact, although
not planned, both Andy and Ray played on each cut, alternating lead and rhythm parts between tunes. I thought it worked out really well. I
would have liked to have had more time to put more production into this album but with budgets being what they are I did not have that luxury.
Another Lifetime was recorded at Westlake Audio with Elliot Scheiner (who was to have originally recorded Symbiosis but was mixing Toto's
Tambu at the time) in May of 1997 and released later that year.
I took my band to Japan in October to play some of the cuts off this CD as well as a selection from previous albums.
